Khordong Byangter Monastery was founded by the late Chhimed Rigdzin Rinpoche in order to protect and spread the teachings of this lineage which were taught by Padmasambhava and rediscovered in the 14th and 19th century by the tertons Rigdzin Godem and Nuden Dorje.
Last week the lamas had the chance to have the long awaited visit of Dr Chiang, Siliguri's best dentist. A few months back he had promised Tulku Ugen to come and do a general check up for each of the monks, but as a talented man he also is a very busy man.
Well, he kept his words and finally found the time to make it all the way to our Khordong Byangter Monastery. He stayed there several hours and inspected and treated everyone. The most beautiful part is that he did it for free with the true desire to support the Gompa.
